The Shannon River is one of the most scenic and attractive pleasure waterways in Europe, punctuated by many beautiful lakes as it meanders on its journey to the sea. The river is navigable from Killaloe in the South to Lough Key in the North, and through the Shannon-Erne Waterway into the Upper and Lower Erne lakes. Along the way, through miles of unspoilt green countryside, you can visit ancient and historic ruins of long ago. Experience and enjoy the music, song and companionship at the many riverside towns and villages throughout the Shannon.
For the fishing enthusiast there is nothing quite like the freedom of dropping anchor and either fishing from your cruiser or exploring the lakes and rivers from your dinghy - perfect for trolling and fishing in shallow waters.
